trés jeune Age. Cependant, c'est la lecture des piéces de l’auteur espagnol, Frédérico

Garcia Lorca, qui l’a décidée a poursuivre une carriére théatrale. Elle a suivi une for-
mation théatrale aux Drama Group de Monaco, Jean Shelton Acting School de San
Francisco, Carousel Theater School et a 1’ Arts Club Theatre de Vancouver. Elle posséde un
Bac en art dramatique de |’Université du Québec 4 Montréal et y termine une maitrise en art
dramatique avec comme projet de recherche la direction d’acteurs-enfants. Hamida a donné
des ateliers en art dramatique et était responsable du programme en art dramatique du Centre
d’Art Les Muses 4 Montréal. Hamida Bendriss a aussi co-fondé Le Petit Studio Théatre de
V'UQAM qui offre des ateliers de théatralisation pour enfants. En 1996, elle a joué dans Les
Veuves de Jérusalem au théatre Saidye Bronfman de Montréal. Elle a aussi travaillé en tant
que régisseure et directrice de production dans différentes productions 4 Montréal et a
Vancouver.

induced her to a career in theatre. For her training, she went to the Drama Group of
Monaco, the Jean Shelton Acting School of San Francisco, the Caroussel Theater School and
The Arts Club Theatre in Vancouver. She has a Bachelor in Fine Arts from the University of
Quebec in Montreal where she is currently completing a Master in Drama from the Theater
department. Her research project is on directing children actors. She also co-founded Le Petit
Studio Théatre de ’ UQAM. In 1996, she played in Les Veuves de Jérusalem at the Saidye
Bronfman Theater of Montreal. She also worked as a stage-manager and production director
in several productions in Montreal and Vancouver as well.
