That The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam participate in
the 'Partners in Enterprise Program! pursuant to the Provinciai-
Municipal Partnership Act on the basis provided by Section 3(2) and %4(3)
of that Act with an effective date of September 29th, 1986;

That His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay be authorized to participate
with the Honourable W.S. Ritchie, Minister of Municipal Affairs in
signing a Partnership Agreement requiring a bylaw pursuant to Section
3(2)(a) of the Act;

AND THAT following the signing of such Agreement the City Clerk be
instructed to prepare and present to Counci! the required bylaw to
implement the terms of the Agreement.

Municipal Amendment Act, 1985 (Bill 62).

That the City Administrator, City Engineer, Director of Community
Planning, and City Clerk be authorized to attend the one-day course on
the Municipal Amendment Act, 1985 (Bill 62) on Friday, February 28th,
1986 sponsored by the university of British Cclumbia.

NEW BUSINESS:

Alderman Farnworth referred to the recent publicity concerning the
possible closure of Riverview Hospital and Woodlands Schoo!.

That the City Cierk be instructed to inquire of the appropriate
Provinclal government authorities concerning recent reports about the
closing of Riverview Hospital and Woodlands School and request
clarification.
