It acknowledge receipt of your letter
of July 20, 1972 and note your advice about the
resolution recently passed by the Municipal Council
of the Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam
concerning Opportunities for Youth and the proposed
Mosquito Control Program.

I regret that the entire allocation
available for distribution in the province of British
Columbia has been determined, and it wiil not now be
possible to reconsider this submission with a view of
inclusion in the 1972 Opportunities for Youth Program.
In the event that the Opportunities for Youth Program
is continued in the summer of 1973, I would urge that
the Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam give
consideration to the possibility of submitting
another application for funding at that time.

You may be assured that the Minister
is grateful for the Council's expressions of support
for the Opportunities for Youth Program.
