Indian Commissioner J. V. Boys adamantly refused to investigate Native Indian conditions in the northern. part of the province and the Yukon. The Native Brotherhood of B.C. has turned to Indian Affairs Minister Ellen Fair- clough in its search for the establishment of a Royal Commission to investigate the matter. When this fig- ure was added to the -ad- mitted total of over half a million persons seeking em- ployment, it presented a pic- 650,000 ture of well over 1,000,0% people who are unable ; find work, he charged.
