Res B.C. Telephone Local Measured Service,

The Pitt Meadows Couneil is quite concerned that B.C. Telephone
Company is considering instituting local measured Service. Attached
is a newspaper column outlining what the telephone company proposes
to do.

Pitt Meadows has written to the Union of B.C. Municipalities and
they have indicated that they will monitor the Situation and give
further consideration to intervention if the situation warrants it.
We are writing to our neighbour municipalities to ask your support
in opposing the introduction of local measured service,
