A regular meeting of the Municipal Council of The Corporation of
the City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chamber, Port Coquitlam
City Hall, 2272 McAllister Avenue, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on March ist,
1982 at 7:30 p.m.

His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay, Aldermen M.D. Gates, G.R. Laking,
E.W. Mabbett, A.K. Muldoon, D.J. Vater and M.R. Wright in attendance.

Also in attendance were Chief Administrative Officer B.R. Kirk,
City Clerk R.A. Freeman, City Engineer F.E. Peters, P. Eng., City Treasurer
J.G.8. Maitland, Director of Community Planning W. Brown, and Recording
Secretary D. Vyse.
SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS: Special

Presentation:
His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay introduced Mr. Lo Linkert, International

Winner of the 1981 Cartoon Book of the Year, and presented him with a Civic
Recognition
Scroll, City pen and pin as Civic Recognition of his achievement. Awards.
Mayor Traboulay then introduced Mr. Ray Eagle of the Muscular
Dystrophy Association and advised Mr. Eagle was present tonight to
honour Mr. Frank Nick, Chairman of the Fire Fighters Local 1941 Muscular
Dystrophy Campaign. Mayor Traboulay then presented Mr. Nick with a
plaque from the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Alderman Wright presented Scrolls, City pens and pins as Civic
Recognition of the achievements of Mr. Paul Scriver, member of the
Terminal Pub Softball Team, 1980 Championships; Mr. Fred Sabatine Jr.,
member of the 1981 Fourth Place Team in the Canadian Championships; and
the following members of the PoCo Marlins Swim Club for their achievement
in winning the 1981 Provincial Championships:
