WHEREAS pursuant to Section 871(1)(e) of the "Municipal Act"
being Chapter 255, R.S.B.C., 1960, as amended, tne Council

may regulate or prohibit the keeping of pigeons and doves

and define areas within which such doves may be kept or within

which the keeping of them is prohibited;

AND WHEREAS it is dezmed expedient to regulate the keeping of

“such birds within the City of Port Coquitlam;

THEREFORE the Municipal Council of The Corporation of The City

of Port Coquitlam, .in open meeting assembled, enacts as fol-

lows:

i. This By-law may be cited fer all Purposes as "City

of Port Coquitlam Pigeons and Doves Regulation By-law, 1976,

2. No person shall keep or harbour pigeons or doves on

any parcel of land having an area of Jess than 5,400 square

feet.

3. No person shall keep pigeons or doves in, upon, or

under any building used for human habitation.

4, No person, being the owner or keeper of pigeons or
‘doves, or upoh whose land pigeons or doves are kept, shall
allow, suffer or permit such pigeons or doves to be at large,
or to perch, roost or rest upon the land or buildings of any
other person in the City of Port Coquitlam or to Stray, feed
or roost on any highway or public place within the City, pro~
