Texas woman sentenced to death —

after hiring father’s killer

WHARTON, Texas (AP)
— A 35-year-old woman
convicted of hiring her
father’s killer has been
sentenced to die by an in-
jection of sodium pentothal.

Lima, convicted in 1961 of
the murder of Houston real
estate salesman Fred Tones.

The conviction ‘was over- -

turned four hours before she
was to die. Her sentence
later was reduced to 15
years.
