Photo above shows a U.S. plane downed in Nghia An province. Goer F U.S. sadism L., A, Vancouver, writes: I believe that the prediction, “He who sows the wind will reap the whirlwind” is coming true before our eyes, For I believe that capi- talism is so much against the Ways of Nature that it is causing un-natural things to happen. No other creature lives off its own species, yet capitalism asks us to admire those who do this in an economic way — for if One lives by taking from others, One lives “off* them, Capitalism teaches us to admire the man Who is “successful”, And what is’ their‘ sueéessfal’ nian except One who has beaten down others, in a big way, and “legally?? Such men are glorified. And we also have the same “whirl- Wind” in the U.S.A, Many approve the policy of the U.S, in Vietnam, And what is this Vietnam policy but that of torture, murder and Starvation of a whole people, bombing from the skies of awhole People, Theoretically, they should kill Only “Viet Cong’’, but bombs can’t choose, A baby is the same to a bomb as a “Viet Cong.” So to make sure of killing a“ Viet Cong” immense numbers of bombs are to be rained down, and immense number of non-combatants Maimed and killed, And to deprive the * Viet Cong” immense numbers of tons of chemicals are rained down, and all made to starve. And those who do this from the air do so, like:the bully or the torturer, with a sense of elation and power, but not of self- loath- ing. Like the bully they don’t themselves get hurt, Truly, when the human animal goes berserk he is the deadliest thing on earth because he has the power to think — and that power at the disposal of acreature desiring outlets for its sadistic emotions and domination. The U.S. government has now very largely become such a creature — in its emotional sadism to bend the people of Vietnam to its WATE. ie cere a fu ieee. a ie we Pall nti ANC al (iM VIETNAM U.S. Peace Offensive —E! Reluctantly, we have been forced to extend the closing date of our annual financial drive to June 11, from the pre- viously scheduled May 31. This will give us and our supporters an extra 11 days to get the job done. That is, to provide the PT with the means to carry forwgrd its policies in the next period of time. During this extension we urge all press clubs and all our friends everywhere to utilize it in such a way as to make it possibie for all of us to gather at the Victory Celebration in Vancouver on June 11 and truly celebrate a great victory for the Trib and all it stands for. If you haven't yet, give a day's pay now. If you're already made your contribution, how about adding a dollar or two? As we-said before , the need is great, the hour is late.
