Oecember 10, 1993 Mayor L. Traboulay City Hall 2580 Shaughnessy St. Port Coquitlam. B.C. Oear Mr. Traboulay: In response to our recent telephone conversation this will provide you with additional factz regarding our portable sign. Our business, situated slightly north of Prairie Road on the eastside of the street, was opened in May 1993. As many other new companies trying to get off the ground, we display a portable sign advertising our goods. Unfortunately the Bread Express ‘ location is very disadvantaged since the new CIBC building on the corner (Prairie & Coast Meridian) conceais out storefront, hence disabling drivers from noticing the bakery. Without a 1it display sign, we may as well close our doors now. You have received a complaint from the former owner of the bakery about this sign. He would like to see it removed, therefore hoping to force the Bread Express to take over his existing sign. He is still committed to the lease of this sign for another four years. If as a resuit of someone's grievance we are prohibited to display our sign then we are being singularly targeted, since many long-time established businesses in Port Coquitlam nave been displaying a portable sign. : I trust this provides you with the information required. Please contact me for further details at 945-6145. Sincerely,
