May 17th, 1982. A regular Council meeting of the Municipal Council of The Corporation of The City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chamber, Port Coquitlam City Hall, 2272 McAllister Avenue, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on May 17th, 1982 at 7:30 p.m. His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay, Aldermen M.D. Gates, G.R. Laking, E.W. Mabbett, A.K. Muldoon, D.J. Vater and M.R. Wright in attendance. Also in attendance were Acting-City Administrator R.A. Freeman, City Engineer F.E. Peters, P. Eng., Director of Community Planning W. Brown, Recreation Director K.J. Taylor and Recording Secretary D. Vyse. ZONING PUBLIC HEARING: Zoning Public His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay advised the following BL F 3899 _ an Proposed bylaws to amend the "City of Port Coquitlam Zoning pong To ade Bylzw, 1979, No. 1651" in the following manner: (a) Section 34 (1)(d) will be repealed and the following will be substituted: "(d) Shopping centres except amusement arcades." Section 35 (1)(e) will be repealed and the following will be substituted: (e) Auditoriums, dance halls, night clubs, amusement arcades and other entertainment establishments." Section 36 (1) will be repealed and the following will be substituted: "(1) USES PERMITTED..-+° Uses .rositted in C-3 with the exception of amusement arcades." _.Thevintent of the amendments noted above which are in Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 1899 will clarify the zoning bylaw with respect to amusement arcades and provide that these may only be established on property that is zoned C3. The owner of the QT Market at the corner of Flint Street and Coquitlam Avenue was present and expressed his concerns regarding the present location of an amusement arcade in the C-.3 zone on Flint Street.
