. THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM COUNCIL AUG 25 1980 Mayor and Aldermen August 21st, 1980. R.A. Freeman, City Clerk. Sale of Land at 2452 Kingsway At a special Council Committee meeting Leld on July 10th, 1980 the Land Sale Committee recommended that two 30.75 foot wide lots and two 4 foot wide lots at the above location be sold to the owner of the property located immediately wast thereof at the price of $4.50 a square foot with the additional requirement that certain road dedications be made in the area. A map of the area is attached. It would now be appropriate for the Council to endorse this recommendation in open meeting in order that the necessary procedures leading to the eventual sale of the property may be undertaken. We also take this opportunity to ask Council to consider its advertising policy with respect to land sales such as this. It has always been our practice to simply follow the bare provision of the Municipal Act and post the required Notice of Sale at the City Hall and the Justice Building when Council is dealing with the owner of adjacent property. Some recent instances of this policy come to mind with respect to the expansion of the Elgin Medical/Dental Clinic and the recent subdivision in the Marshall/Warwick Avenue area. The alternative, of course, is to advertise the availability of the property in the local newspapers. May we have Council's instructions please; both with respect to the particular sale of property, and the policy in connection with the advertising of such sales, \ f d 122 1 at City Clerk,
