Four proposals were received by our Society. After consideration we

; made our final selection, resulting in “Hawthorne Lodge".

We selected an experienced team with development and management
expertise in these types of facilities. The Hawthorne Lodge is so
constructed to accomodate all levels and types of personal care
Services. From minirum to intensive care services.

The management group that we selected will administer the final
policies that our Society recommends. The group will be responsible
for initial and continuous total staff training proyrams, which
programs have been approved by the federal government.

Special menu's, dietary meals and a complete and varying nutritional
program, comprehensive therapy programming, total recreation,
amenities and innovative programs on a continuing basis are services
supplied, .

Our "Lodge" will have the use and benefits of the Management facilities.
The management grolips existing National Purchasing Contracts of mass
buying, Canada wide, will be made available to us. This in itself,
will result in major cost savings to our Lodge.

.The benefits obtained, in. just the volume purchasing and accounting

services will go a long way, in offsetting the management group's
fee of about $ .50 per day per resident.

No profit will be generated to the “Hawthorne Lodge" or to the Port
Coguitlam Senior Citizen's Society. The rates charged will be
comprised of the following costs;

cose Yepayment of the capital costs, that is the principal amount
of the mortgage and its interest.

eseee food and supply costs

eeoeee building and maintenance costs

Our daily rate will reflect the aforementioned costs. Should these
costs be lower than projected, our daily costs will of course be

reduced accordingly. ;

Land and tax concessions have been reflected in our projected rates.

The "Hawthorne Lodge” has been developed through the volunteer effort
and participation of our local Society members. Which membership has
a sincere Interest in the development of care to the aged in this
community and have expressed this positive interest in the:
