Despite these efforts gross sales for 1993 were marginally lower than 1992 - 0.6% lower. The Marketing Committee is currently considering further initiatives to boost sales. In October the Board voted to revert to the old policy that only members of the Guild may sell in the gallery. A decision was also made to set up a space in the Gallery where members may, by application on a first come first serve basis, sell their work for a short period without going through the jurying, process. The following new artists were accepted by the Selections Committee: Ronda Green, Jay MacLennan, Lynne Johnson, and Judy Weeden. The work of the following artists was featured: Suzy Birstein, Ailsa Brown, Members of the Greater Vancouver Weavers and Spinners Guild, and Graeme Allemeersch, NEWSLETTER Recognising the importance of the Newsletter, Office Administrator/Editor Jan Kidnie published ten excellent editions. Only nine were printed in 1992 as a temporary cost cutting measure. AWARDS Once again the Guild was not able to award scholarships in view of the tight budget, STUDIO 3 Jay MacLennan was grated the Studio 5 space for May "93 to April “94.
