_(adapted from Jane Brody’s Good Food Book)...

I HAVE AN interesting puzzle in

my life.

I eat nutritlausly most of the
time; BUT, during the holiday
season, when I have company
over, I always-run ont and buy
those foods that I don’t usually
have around ‘the house:. butter,
white flour, créam ‘for ‘their cof-
fee, and the Hagen

cream.

All this some ‘times’ makes’ me’
wonder, Why do I eat so careful-
ly, but then buy extra foods. to

give my fricnds heart attacks?

Add boiling water, stirring until gelatin dissolves. Stir in orange juice, sweet-

ner, and orange peel. Beat in yogurt until thoroughly mixed, Refrigerate about .

45 minutes, until partially set. Fold in orange segments, Taste for sweetness,
add more sweetner, if desired. Pour into pie shell. Sprinkle lightly with cin-
namon. Refrigerate 4 hours until set.

“Bring the mixture to a boil; and cook it, stirring it often, for 10 minutes, or until

* out 3 inch circles, and place them on ungreased cookle sheets,

Mix the egg together with the water. Place a teaspoon of filling in the centre

‘of eack circle, With a pastry brush or your finger, brush the edges of the circles

with the egg/water mixture, and fold the circies in half, pressing the edges to-
gether to make a tight seal. (Do one circle at a time to prevent the egg mixture

from drying before you seal the dough.) When a af the circles are sealed, brush

the remaining egg mixture on top of the turnovers with a pastry brash. Bake the
turnovers in a preheated 375 aven for 1 & minutes or until he crast is a light
golden brown. ,
