Instructing GVRD staff to seek agreement with all munici- palities ona set of population growth targets for the region. These population growth targets are to be used for planning purposes only and can be reviewed and revised annually if necessary, GVRD Planning staff have met with staff in all municipalities throughout the region seeking technical agreement on a workable set of population growth targets. Discussions with technical staff have now proceeded as far as possible re now requesting formal Council endorsation of the 1986 population growth targets. The proposed 1986 population target. for the City of Port Coquitlam is 37,000. This target has been reached jointly with your technical staff and GVRD staff and is consistent with present objectives for Port Coquitlam's growth.
