September 15th, 1975 and in an effort to resolve the problem a meeting has been set up with the Hockey Association Executive. Alderman Thompson noted that although the programming and organization of the hockey teams is through the Association, he feels tnat the City, as the landlord of the facilities, must attempt to assist in reaching an agreeable solution to the problem. Alderman Traboulay indicated that he had not heard the Curfew Siren being sounded and was advised by Mayor Campbell that such an order had not been issued as it was Jecided that the sounding of the siren would be unnecessary. Alderman Traboulay asked when the public meeting with respect to the issuance of the General Liquor Licence to the PoCo Valley Golf Club, would be held and was advised by the City Administrator that the Club had made alternative arrangements for the present time but would be interested in pursuing the matter further at a later date. Alderman Traboulay then stated that it was his understanding that the public meeting was to be held to discuss the general principle of granting Generai Licenses in Port Coquitlam. Alderman Traboulay questioned the pool scheduling and expressed concern that those wishing public pool time during the morning hours will be overlooked because of the amount of time requested by the School Board. Alderman Thompson indicated that in reviewing the schedules he felt that the times requested by the School Board were very reasonable and that it must be kept in mind that they are sharing both Capital and Operating Costs. In addition, it was noted that consideration is being given to develop an ‘Early Bird' programme with further details available at a later date. Alderman Ranger advised that the Health and Welfare Committee will be meeting with the Alcohol and Drug Commission representatives on Tuesday, September 16th, 1975 at 4:00 p.m. in the Council Chamber to discuss the future of PoCo House and extended an invitation to all members of Council the Press and members of the public to attend.
