tree was dedicated by his Excellancy Lord Moran, the:British High Com-- :@
missioner to Canada, whose wife assisted in planting the tree on the occa-
sion of their visit to Terrace on March 9,

The Terrace Womens Centre
located at 4542 Park Avenue,

but is now open and announcing
expanded hours. Doors are open
Tuesday 1-4 p.m., Wednesday,
Thursday, and Friday 9-12 p.m.
and 1-4 p.m., and Saturday 1-4
p.m, We are closed Sunday and
Monday. The Womens Centre is
an important community re-
source and we heartily invite the
participation of all women,
regardless of age.

There is a very comfortable
drop-in space and a children’s
play area. You may wish to put
your feet up, enjoy a cup of cof-
fee and share your interests or
problems with others at the Cen-
tre,

The library and a wide selec-

and other reading material offer
a wide range of subjects. For ex-
ample: The Meech Lake Accord,
Family Maintenance Program,
pensions for houseworkers, safe
working conditions, sexism in
advertising, women in small bus-
iness, family violence, health-
related topics, and novels by
women writers.
