SUBJECT: REQUEST FOR LOADING ZONE SIGNS AT 2357 WHYTE AVENUE

Options:

1. Install two "passenger unloading only" signs at 2357 Whyte Avenue,

2. Install two "15 minute loading zone" signs at 2357 Whyte Avenue.

Background & Comments:

Rod Owen has requested that "loading zone" signs be installed at 2357 Whyte Avenue, A
20 suite apartment occupies this address with all of the residents being handicapped. A.
loading zone would be helpful for picking up and dropping off residents.

A "“nassenger unloading only" sign would be more appropriate than a "loading zone" sign
because of the difference in the time duration.

An example of "passenger unloading only” signs are at 2340 McAllister Avenue.

Bylaw No. 1117 Specific Parking Regulations must be adjusted if one of the options are
accepted. .
