From New Westminster and District Labour Council, April ist, 1987,
asking City Council to observe April 28th as an official "day of
mourning" for the hundreds of workers killed at the workplace each year
in Canada by lowering the flag to half mast ard allowing employees to
observe one minute of silence at the workplace at 11:00 a.m.

That City of Port Coquitiam recognize April 28th, 1987 as the
"Official Day of Mourning" for workers killed at the work place in
Canada.

That the flag be lowered to half mast and that employees be al lowed

City to notify Port Coquitlam Elementary and Secondary Schools of the
annual Walk for Peace to be held in Vancouver on Saturday, April 25th,

1987.

That the Port Coquitlam Elementary and Secondary Schools be notified
of the Walk for Peace to be held Saturday, April 25th, 1987 in Vancouver.

1987, regarding B.C. Telephone Local Measured Service and requesting
support in opposing the introduction of local measured service.

That the City send a letter to the B.C. Telephone Company opposing
the introduction of Local Measured Service.

And that copies be sent to The Corporation of the District of Pitt
Meadows, U.B.C.M., Minister of Consumer Affairs, C.R.1T.C., Mark Rose MLA
and Gerry St. Germain MP.
