Dear Sir:

Inland Helicopters Ltd. is hereby authorized, pursuant to sub-
section 102(4) of Air Regulations, to conduct gas pipeline :
patrols at altitudes and distances lower than that specified ;
in para. 2(a) of section 534 of the Air Regulations using a !
Hughes 2609 helicopter while under contract to B.C. Hydro, sub-
ject to the following conditions: |

(a) That approvals for this operation from the municipalities
concerned are on file with Inland Helicopters Ltd. before
operations commence.

(b) Day VFR only in Canadian Airspace.

(c) That the route to be flown shall be shown on a map on
file with the Regional Office, Transport Canada and shall /
be precisely adhered to. _

° (d) That the surface of the pipeiine right of way shall be ; :
adequate for emergency landings.

(e) That the minimum operating altitude shall be 200 feet AGL.
. (f) That only essential crew shall be carried.

‘(g) That a flight plan shall be filed for each flight and
communication shall be established with Air Traffic Services
before traversing controlled airspace.
