December 8th, 1975 A regular meeting of the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chamber, Port Coquitlam City Hall, 2272 McAllister Avenue, Port Coquitlam, B. C., on December 8th, 1975 at 7:30 p.m. His Worship Mayor J.M. Campbell, Aldermen J.J, Keryluk, G.R. Laking, E.W. Mabbett, PVF. Ranger, M.A. Thompson, and L.M. Traboulay in attendance. Also in attendance were Chief Administrative Officer L.D. Pollock, City Engineer V.G, Borch, P. Eng., City Planning Officer Lanson Lee, Recreation Director Janna Taylor, Works & Utilities Superintendent G. Ulmer, and Mrs. B.M. Aalten, CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES: Moved by Alderman Keryluk: Minutes - Dec.1/75 Seconded by Alderman Laking: That the minutes of the regular meeting of this Council held on December lst, 1975, be taken as read and adopted. Carried. DELEGATIONS: The City Administrator advised that in response to Council's request Huntington Rubber reps Mr. S.D. McGillivray and Mr. G. Cross were in attendance this evening re Davies Avenue pro representing Huntington Rubber Mills of Canada Ltd. to discuss the perty intentions of the firm with respect to its Davies Avenue property, and on invitation of His Worship the Mayor, Mr. McGillivray made a brief presentation on behalf of Huntington Rubber Mills of Canada Ltd., stating that plans are presently being prepared by the survey firm of Underhill & Underhill which should be ready for submission by about the 15th of February, 1976. Alderman Mabbett stated his concern at the condition of the existing building, and Mr. McGillivray advised that renovations thereto are dependent upon the monies derived from the subdivision and sale of a portion of the firm's property. Alderman Traboulay inquired whether the firm had anyone watching the building, and Mr. McGillivray advised that a suard dog service has been employed for that purpose; however, damage to the building still occurs. Alderman Traboulay referred to the unsatisfactory condition of Davies Avenue, and pointed out that repairs thereto are being held up pending action on the proposed project. Mr. McGillivray advised that construction will start as soon as the plans are approved. Mr. Cross advised that temporary repairs have been carried out, such as placing pliofilmw sheets over the windows; however, it is difficult to cope with the type of vandalism that is
