ITEM IV Request to purchase City lands on Toronto Street.

Comments: The parcel is located in the Victoria, Toronto area and ten (10)
33' by 122' lors in a row. The Committee was made aware of

Recommendation: The Committee recommends that these parcels be retained
at this time as the City ie studying alternate’ uses for this

site.

ITEM V Re: City owned lands

Comments: The committee reviewed the map showing all the City owned
lands and requested information as to their present use, it
was pointed out that many acres of land are encompassed in the
old garbage dump site , located in flood plain areas, in the
sewer treatment area and the ecological area. Other large tracts
of land are being used recreation centre sites and

works yard,

or City uses such as: fire hall
wapped for parks, pump~house sites for sewer
and water, future health centre locations etc. Therefore the
Committee would like the Council to consider the following
recommendations,

Recommendations: a) That a study of all City owned lands be undertaken
to determine our future requirements, ”
b) That the City not sell, lease or enter into any
agreements which would alienate our public owned lands until
the results of the overall study are known.

ITEM VI Re: Industrial Zoning Amendment

Comments: The Committee has reviewed the attached Zoning By-Law Amendment
dealing with Industrial Development. This Proposed By-Law was
discussed by all the affected committees last year and received

approval in principle from same.

Recommendations: The Committce recommends the attached Industrial Zoning
Amendments be approved for public hearing,
