That in essence the total community is closed without permission from property owners. Many, if not the majority of hunters who are offenders do not _ ask permission to hunt and in effect do not have permits. It is felt that the majority are aware that 4 permit is needed and in effect all are aware that | permission is required. Recommendations: (1). Within our present By-law no minimum fine presently exists and therefore that should be included to show minimum fine of $50.00 for offences. Under ITEM C re discharge of firearms, that the distance be changed to "300 yards" from present 150 yards. “That in conjunction with the Rod & Gun Club an information flyer be prepared and distributed to the residents of the "allowed areas" outlining the proper rights of the individuals and the steps to take in the event of non-allowed hunters on their property. That we approach the R.C.M.P. to give us their views and ask them if they are able to respond to calls re infractions of our By-law. ‘That we write to the game branch and ask that they consider appointing an auxiliary game officer to the area, in particular, in the first part of the hunting season, That signs in the affected area be redone to read: NOTICE TO HUNTERS This Area is Closed to Hunting Other Than by Regulations Under By-law No. 864 See City Hall cr R.C.M.P.
