the farmers and gardeners of Terrace

were from out of town.

Only a few entries were made in
the poultry classes. . While no. com-
plaint can be made as to the high class
of the birds, there should be a great
many more entries, and more breeds
‘shown. Terrace is quite -o ~ poultry
district and the business should be
prevented another year,

The exhibits were held in the hall
of the G. W. ¥. A. and both the up-
stairs and down stairs were used. It

‘is a splendid place for holding. such r
display, the buliding being clean, and |
large and airy, The down. stairs part
might be a little lighter. The fruit.

. Body Found at
The Nash Boom

The body of George Chappell was
found among the logs at the Nash
boom on Monday morning soon after
eight o'clock when the. men went on
shift, ‘The, police” were notified and
they left Hazelton and went down to

Hazelton. Dr. L. B. Wrinch examin-
ed it in the afternoon, ‘The coroner
decided. that’ an inquest ‘Was not ne-
cessary. :
The funeral: of George Chappell, the
elght year old son. of Mr. and Mra. A,
D, Chappell of Hazelton, was held on
‘Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock
from the Church of England. Rev.
Mr. Bannister officiated. Interment
took place: in the Hazelton cemetery,

carried away by the swift water of
the Bulkley, and while efforts were
made to drag the river no trace of the
body was found until the morning of
the 15th.

Session Terrace

A meeting of theinémbers of the
Rural Deanery of Hazelton was held
in’ Terrace on September 10. and 11.
The visiting members were provided.
With hospitality by the kind invita-
tions of the memmbers of St. Matth-
ews Anglican church, On arrival the
members were provided with break-
fast in the rectory, and the meetings
were opened with a celebration of the
