Councillor Gordon exy..ossed concern regarding a recent increase in insurance rates by the
Municipal Insurance Associatien.

Moved by Councillor Gordon:

That a representative of the Municipal Insurance Association be invited to address Council
to address a 70% increase in rates over the 1993 assessment.

Carried.

Councillor Talbot spoke regarding initiating a traffic and transportation study.

That the Planning and Engineering Departments commenc: a study regarding the current
traffic and transportation situation within the City with a vie © to insure the scheduled road

improvements will be sufficient to accommodate the additional requirements emanating from
the growth of our City.
