City Engineer Mr. Zahynacz: Re: Bus Stop on Southbound Mary Hill Road farside Wilson Avenue J am writing to request your assistance to resolve an existing Operational problem at the captioned stop location. The bus stop on southbound Mary Hill Road farside Wilson Avenue is serviced by #161 Mary Hill and #159 New Westminster buses. The bus stop is located 15.6m south of the beginning of a tangent section. There is a utility pole 4.5m ahead of the bus stop. When the #161 Mary Hill buses enter this stop immediately after the right turn from Wilson Avenue, bus operators cannot bring the bus parallel to the curb due to the pole ahead of the bus stop. In addition, it is tight for the operators to pull the bus out from this stopping position. To solve this problem, it is requested that the bus stop be relocated 30m north of the existing location (see attached figure). In addition, "No Stopping AnyTime - Bus Zone" signs be installed 7.5m ahead of the bus stop and on the utility pole upstream of the bus stop... a Thank you for your consideration in this matter. Yours truly, Hansel Wang, P.Eng. Senior Transportation Engineer _ Attachment —- HW/JP/bl
