SUBJECT: Purchase of Three Pickups

RECOMMENDATION:

That the contract for supply of three pickup trucks be
awarded to Town Center Chev at a total cost including taxes and trade-

ins of $23,837.18 and that the cost be taken out of the Equipment
Reserve Fund.

. Thirteen tenders were received for the pickup trucks jn
accordance with the attached recap sheet, The four lowest tenders
were for a Nissan Vehicle which does not meet the specifications for
wheel base or number of cylinders. The Town Center tender meets the
specifications and is for vehicles identical to our existing pick-up
fleet. |

The purchase of this equipment has already been approved in

the 1985 Budget and funds of $27,000 have been provided which includes

a 32,000 canopy and finer for The pick-up to be used by the Pool
Maintenance staff, °
