Alderman Keryluk stated he felt the By-law was probably correct in the way it was drafted and that he did not see the point of preparing a second by-law. Alderman Laking stated he felt strongly that Section 4 should be removed, and His Worship the Mayor ruled that Section 4 be withdrawn from the By-law prior to its initial consideration by the Council. Alderman Laking introduced a By-law to amend the "City of Port Coquitlam Zoning By-law, 1969, No. 918". Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Alderman Ranger: That By-law No. 1335 be read a first time. Carried. Prior to passage of the foregoing resolution, the following amendment was proposed: Moved by Alderman Keryluk: Seconded by Alderman Ranger: That the "City of Port Coquitlam Zoning By~law, 1969, No. 918, Amendment By-law, 1974, No. 1335" be amended by including therein the Section 4 set forth in the said By-law No. 1335 as originally prepared. His Worship the Mayor ruled the amendment to be out of order and Alderman Keryluk then challenged the Chair. His Worship the Mayor then put the question "shall the Chair be sustained?" and the question was resolved in the affirmative on the following division: In favour of sustaining the Chair Opposed to sustaining the Chair Alderman G.R.
