The award for outstanding membership and educational ac- complishments is one fo only five presented at the Toastmaster’s Convention. Toastmasters, © the © world’s largest public speaking and leadership organization has 170 clubs in B.C.. The club mectings offer the op- portunily to present speeches and leam how to effectively lead and participate in meetings in a non- threatening environment. As well as regular meetings, the club is also involved this fall with helping the youth at the Kermode Fricndship Center and PACES to improve communication _ skills and self-confidence, A public speaking course for everyone will be starting January 25. - The Terrace club meets the first and third Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Terrace Inn.
