PORT ALBERNI, MAY 24-25 By JOE MIYAZAWA Associate Director, Research & Education Department A successful Education Conference was held in Port Alberni May 24th and 25th, composed of the plant and camp committee members from the various mills-and logging camps of Local 1-85. The format of the Conference was similar to that which was conducted recently in Kelowna; that is, every member participated in all courses. Mr. H. Hutcheon, well respected and able lawyer conducted a class on labour law, with myself leading a group on contract analysis. There is no doubt that through this media we will be better able to serve the needs of the members whom we represent. ONE OF THE TOP B.C.
