rf ay ieee tay Bite ray A regular meeting of the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chambers, Port Coquitlam City Hall, 2580 Shaughnessy Street, Port Coquitlam, BC on Monday, April 18, 1994, at 7:30 p.m. Mayor L.M. Traboulay and Councillors M.D. Gates, M.J. Gordon, W.W. Stewart, and R.H. Talbot were in attendance. Also in attendance were Acting City Adminisirator J.G.S. Maitland, City Clerk S. Rauh, Deputy Engineer J.E. Yip, Director of Community Planning C.R. Felip, Director of Parks and Recreation K.J. Taylor, Fire Chief J.L. Baillie, and Deputy Fire Chief G.W. Routley. His Worship, Mayor L.M. Traboulay made a special presentation to the Terry Fox Ravens Basketball Team commemorating their winning the BC Highschool Championship. That the minutes of the Public Hearing and Regular Council Meeting of April 11, 1994 be taken as read and adopted. Whereas April 24th, 1994 is the day when everyone is asked to support their local food bank and become "Heroes for Hunger” and; Whereas to promote public awareness and community involvement by individuals and families and encourage everyone to deliver a non perishable food item to their local Subway Store and; Whereas to promote the year long need of the food banks for donations from the public and to create urgency and awareness of the plight of less fortunate families and; — Whereas to participate in "Heroes for Hunger 1994", a North American wide campaign designed by. the Subway restaurant chain to benefit local food banks, with the geal of being the largest single day food drive ever.
