PENALTIES AND ENFORCEMENT 17.1. Every person who violates any provision of this Bylaw shall be guilty of an offence punishable on summary conviction and shall be liable to a fine of not more than $8,000.00 or to imprisonment for not tnore than 6 months, or both. A Building Inspector may order the cessation of any work that is proceeding in contravention of the Building Code or of this Bylaw by posting a "Stop Work Order" in the form of Schedule J to this Bylaw on the property on which such work is undertaken, Every owner of real property on which a "Stop Work Order" has been posted or with respect to which any permit issued pursuant to this Bylaw has been revoked as in this Bylaw provided, shall cease all further work thereon immediately and shall not do any work thereon until the required permit therefore has been issued by the Building Inapector and until all provisions of the Building Code and this Bylaw have been fully complied with. SEVERARILATY 18.1. 1£ any Part or lesser portion of this Bylaw is held javalid by a court, the invalid portion shall be severed from this Bylaw. SCHEDULES 19.1. Schedules A through K attached to this Bylaw form a part of this Bylaw. "Building and Plumbing Code Administration Bylaw, 1992, No. 2568" is repealed. "Building and Piumbing Code Administration Bylaw, 1992, Ne. 2656" is repealed and replaced by this Bylaw. FORCE. AND ESPEcr This Bylaw shall come into force and effect on the first day of December, 1992.
