Fraser Minister of Transportation and Highways regarding the Mary Hill Bypass and an additional route for the northern section of Port Coquitlam for egress from the City if a possible disaster should occur form the C.P. Rail Coquitlam Yards. | Alderman Mabbett referred to the new intersection at Shaughnessy Street and asked that the Public Works Committee look at increased parking on the south side. Moved by Alderman Mabbett: Seconded by Alderman Muldoon: That the Public Works Committee investigate the possibility of increased parking on the south side of the Ernie's Kentucky. Fried Chicken building at Wilson Avenue and Shaughnessy Street and that a report be prepared for Council. Carried. Alderman Gates referred to time restrictions on the Red Bridge route and the City Engineer advised there would be considerable problems in restricting the traffic to one-way in the morning and the opposite way at night. Alderman Leaking advised this would be discussed by the Public Works Committee.
