From the Downtown Merchants, August 9th, 1978 asking that the 'old
Royal Bank Building' be demolished and that Elgin Street west of Shaughnessy
Street be widened.

That the request from the Downtown Merchants, August 9th, 1978 to

demolish the 'Old Royal Bank Building" at Shaughnessy Street and Elgin

Avenue and widen Elgin Avenue west of Shaughnessy Street be referred to

the Public Works Committee for study of traffic patterns in the area.

Prior to passage of the foregoing resolution a short discussion
ensued.
