Seconded by Alderman Thompson: That as recommended in a report from the Leisure Activities Committee, November 7th, 1975, the PoCoMo Boys and Girls Club be permitted to use the Ice Arena at the subsidized ice rental rates. Carried. Alderman Mabbett referred to the recommendation in the Committee's report concerning use of the Hyde Creek Gymnasium, and to his raquest that the words "on a trial basis" be added as the end of the first sentence thereof and the words "plus adequate supervision" as the end of the last sentence, the Council generally agreed. Moved by Alderman Mabbett: Seconded by Alderman Thompson: That as recommended in a report from the Leisure Activities Committee, November 7th, 1975, the PoCoMo Boys and Girls Club be permitted to use the Hyde Creek Gymnasium on Sundays from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at no charge on a trial basis. Further, that equipment such as balls, racquets, etc., be supplied by the Club plus adequate supervision. Carried. School copy of a letter from the District of Coquitlam, October 20th, 1975, requesting a water connection for the proposed Hastings Junior Secondary School which will be located at the intersection of Hastings Street and Lincoln Avenue in that municipality. Moved by Alderman Ranger: Seconded by Alderman Mabbett: That as recommended in a report from the Public Works Committee, November 7th, 1975, the request for a water connection to serve the proposed Hastings Junior Secondary School in the District of Coquitiam be granted, provided that municipality agrees as follows: 1. This connection is to be for the use of the school only. No extensions of this connection to other users will be permitted. 2. The rate charged to be 120% of the applicable rate outlined in the City's Waterworks Regulation By-law. This is in conformance with previous agreements witn the District of Coquitlam on intermunicipal water connections. Carried.
