Job Posting — Logging Engineer

interfor’s West Coast Division seeks a logging engineer to
become part of aur dynamic community-based foresiry division,
Located on the West Coast of Vancouver Island In the
community of Ucluelet with forestry operations In Barklay Sound,
Clayoquot Sound, and Nootka Saund; we operate in one of the
most challenging and exciting areas on BC's coast.

We are a small division, managing 176,000m° of wood, and are
working to build on this volume by sourcing outside wood
through timber sales and local partnerships.

ln Clayoquot Sound we operate under tha 1995 Sclance Panel
Recommendations and we continually work lo davefop new
tachniquas for ecosystem-based forestry.

Responsibilttlas:

Under tha direction of tha Araa Enginaer (for the FLA 19235
lanure Including areas inside and outside of Clayoquot Sound)
the jogging angineer will be responsible for planning and
directing field angineering and paperwork.

Tha lenura is approximately 100,000m? of harvest volume per
yaar. The logging engineer wili ba responsible for the limaly
delivery of all layout, road parmits, and cutting permits.

The logging engineer will deliver an effectlve safety program for
all forestry and engineering staff and consultants under his/her
direction.

The logging angineer will dalivar the ISO/SFI environmentat
management program.

Deslred Qualifications:

4+ years experience in engineering posilions.

RPF or eligibfa for registration,
