Canada Jeunesse World Canada Youth Monde INTERNATIONAL INTERNSHIPS - Do you have practical experience or technical training in information technology? Are you interested in working overseas in a developing country? Are you unemployed or underemployed? If you answered yes to these questions then the NetCorps internship program could be for you! NetCorps Canada International is a Youth Employment Strategy (YES) program. It offers exciting internships in developing countries and in Canada, lasting approximately six months. There is a wide range of work possibilities available to NetCorps interns. This is a volunteer program. The participants’ expenses while on the program (food, lodging, transportation, medical pocket money) are covered by Canada World Youth. To qualify for the program you must: - be between 19 and 25; - bea Canadian citizen or Landed Immigrant; - have formal education or training and/or experience in one of the many areas of information technology. For example: Web page design and maintenance, networking, customised computer programming, database or spreadsheet design, desktop publishing, cybermarketing, etc.; - be currently unemployed or underemployed; - possess the interpersonal and intercultural skills necessary to live and work effectively in another culture, including a motivation for learning the host community language; - have the capacity to fundraise ($1,000); - pass the medical screening process. Note: interns cannot have participated on any internship program financed by the Youth Employment Strategy (YES).
