what is the solution to this problem? Following are a few suggestions that I am proposing and these suggestions should be reviewed and acted upon now by the School Board, City of Port Coquitlam Traffic Committee, R.C.M.P. Traffic Division, the By-Law Officer for the City of Port Coquitlam and the City Engineer for the City of Port Coquitlam: Crossing guard to be posted at this cross walk. Metal posts with signs could be erected over Oxford Street to make drivers aware of the school zone as well as notice the cross walk (identical to those located on Shaughnessy Street by Central School). Flashing traffic control light at this cross walk or any other cross walk that may be instituted for the new Middle School on Oxford Street. a Three way stop sign at the intersection of Dorset Avenue and Oxford Street to control the speed of traffic on Oxford Street and perhaps have a cross walk here to serve the students who will attend the new Middle School. Three way stop sign at the intersection of Dorset Avenue and Oxford Street to control and slow down the traffic on Oxford Street and maintain the existing cross walk at Salisbury Avenue (with no drop off and pick up in cars in the 1900 block of Salisbury Avenue, which is a dead end street). . I urge the School Board to take action now before it is too late, before these schools are both operating and before a child is hurt! Yours truly, . KATHY - PEDERSEN 1844 Dorset Avenue ...
