A Bylaw to adopt a Community Plan of
The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitiam
as an Official Community Plan.

WHEREAS the Municipa! Act authorizes the preparation of Community Plans and
provides that the Council may adopt the Community Plan by bylaw as a Official
Community Pian; :

AND WHEREAS a community plan has been prepared and after First Reading of this
Bviaw the Council has:

(a) examined the plan in conjunction with the most recent capital
expenditure program under Section 266 of the Municipal Act to ensure

consistency between them;
(b) determined that no applicable waste management plan or economic strategy

plan exists for consideration;
(c) reterred the plan to the Counci! of the District of Coquitlam and the
Councit of The Corporation of the District of Pitt Meadows for comment;
id) referred the plan to the Board of the Greater Vancouver Regiona!

AND WHEREAS “he Council deem it desirable to designate the community pian forming
part of this 8ylaw as an Official Community Plan of The Corporation of the City

of Port Coquitlam;

AND WHEREAS the required time iimits have been observed, the required Notices
have been published, and a Public Hearing has been held;

AND WHEREAS the approval of the Minister of Municipal Affairs pursuant to the
provisions of Section 187 of the Municipalities Enabling and Validating Act has

been obtained;

NOW THEREFORE the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port
Coquitlam, in open meeting assembled, enacts as follows: ,

Tne Official Community Plan Policies marked Schedule "At and the Official
Community Plan Map marked Schedule "gt, both of which are attached hereto and
form an integral part of this Bylaw are designated as an Official Community Plan
of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitiam and apply to all areas of the

City.

NOTE:

1. Schedules "A" & "8" are available
tor viewing In the City Clerk's
FIRST READING Oftice and in the Terry Fox Library.

2. Copies of Schedules "A" & "B" can be
obtained from the Director of Planning
at a cost of $5.00.
