RE: Report from the Planning and Zoniny Committee meeting held August 26, 1981

The Committee has reviewed the proposal by the Ministry of Environment that

calls for an amendment to floodplain control. Port Coquitlam was asked to

examine the new policy that would require full floodproofing for dwellings

on parcelsunder 20 acres and minimum Floodproofing on parcels over 26 acres.

The Planning and Zoning Committee recommend that the new policy should not
create two separate classes and that full floodproofing apply to all dwellings

in the floodplain.
