That the minutes of the

meeting of the Parks & Recreation
Committee held on Wednesday,
October. 17th, 1984, be taken as
read and adopted.

Contract

Cornerstone Planning Group

The Committee reviewed the

Group. Janna indicated thatcontract

reviewing the contract.

Recommendation;

That the contract be sent to Council for
approval; after the
review by the solicitor.
Item No. 2

View Society

The Committee reviewed the attached

Society. The

states that this group would be
charged $ 15.25 per hour.policy

felt that if we waive
charges for one group we may be faced
with similar requests
from other groups.
Recommendation:

That we follow existing policy on rental

That the group be permitted to utilize the gym for July 6th,

Item No. 4 Kinsmen Building
There is presently no access road into the back of the
Kinsmen Building. Trucks, cars, etc., drive over the grass
to get to the back door. During the
weather this
naturally plays havoc with the grass. rainy
We initially tried to
get the Kinsmen involved in paying for the road; however,
they indicated at the time, that they could not afford it.
The intention now is to build the road and take it from the
unallocated parks capital budget. The estimate to do the
work is $ 1,100.00. The Kinsmen will be approached to cost
share in the project.
Recommendation:

That we proceed with building the access road and that the
$ 1,100.00 be taken from unallocated parks capital budget.
