Mg ITEM I ; ; ff — Re: Speed Bumes Requests fiave been received from Shop Easy and from tne Commercial Hotel for the installation of speed bumps. The Committee recommends the installation of spsed bumps and the estadlisnment of & m.p.h. speed limits in the following locations: 1. Tha lane west of Shaughnessy Street between Marpole Avenue ana Whyte Avenue. - 2. The lane east of Flint Street from Coquitiam Avenue to Suffolk “Avenue. ITEM Il Re: May Day Parade _ In August the Counci] received a report from Lee Kallen proposing two new routes for the May Day Parade, one route on the north side and one route on the south side. These proposed routes were submitted in response to recommendations from the R.C.M.P., the Department of Highways and the Public Works Committee that the traditional route across the Lougheed Highway be discontinued because of major traffic congestion caused by this parade route. Tne Committee has reviewed the two praposed routes and can find no objections to either route. A suggestion was made that some con- sideration might be given to alternating the use of each route. ITEM TIT Re: Simon Fraser Healtn Unit A request has been received from the Director of the Simon Fraser Health Unit for the establishment of a passenger loading and unloading zone in front of the Unit office. The Committee racommends the establishment of such a zone on the south side of Wilson Avenue from a point 90 feet west of the west side of Donald Street for a distance of 50 feet west. Leseee
