RECOMMENDATICN

That the 1989 Vater and Sewer Capital and Study Grants Application include
the following projects:

A. SEWEPAGE VORKS

1. Replacement of Handley Crescent Pump Station 31.50 ,000
2. Upgrading of Pitt River Road Pump Station 150,000

B. WATERWORKS

Replacement of Penny Place Pump Station £250,000
Replacement of 150mm Cast Iron main on

Scarborough Crescent. $ 75,000
Installation of new main on Laurier Avenue;
between (lellington Street and Coast Meridian Road $ 55,000
Replacement of 100mm Cast Iron main on Rindall
Avenue; between Mary Hill Road and Tyner Street $ 32,000
Replacement of 75/100mm main on Lopb Avenue;
between Shaughnessy Street and Mary Hill Road $ 33,000

C. PROPOSED STUDY GRANT

1. Water and Sewer Model Calibration $€ 15,200

BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS

Applications for the 1969 Water and Sewer Capital and Study Grants under
the Province's Revenue Sharing Act is due on November 30, 1988. Under this
program the Province will fund 25% cf the approved capital projects. As to
tne study grant, the Province will fund 100% of the first $5,000 and 50% of
tne remainder up to $5,000 resulting in a maximum grant cf $10,000.
