From the City Engineer, August 3rd, 1988 regarding Transfer of Funds
in Maintenance and Operation Budget.

Seconded by Alderman Talbot:

That $3,000 be transferred from the Environmental Protection Budget
(Account No. 22315) to the Public Works Common Services Budget (Account No.
22319) for the purpose of increasing the amount of funds available to clean up
illegal dumping.

From the City Engineer, August 3rd, 1988 regarding Request to hold
Neighborhood Party ~ 3100 Block Frey Place.

Seconded by Alderman Laking:

That the request to hold a neighborhood party in the 3100 block Frey
Place be approved and that the City Engineer be authorized to supply the
necessary barricades and flashers to the organizers.

From the Director of Community Planning, July 20th, 1988 regarding
West Vancouver Letter ~ Transit Commission.

Moved by Alderman Stewart:
Seconded by Alderman Farnworth:

That City Council inform the Mayor of West Vancouver that a
combination of Alternatives 3 and 5 proposed in his letter are supported.
This would involve creating a separate Transit Authority for the Lower
Mainland, giving it broader power to determine budget and services allocation.
