INDUSTRIAL AREA STUDY
TERMS OF REFERENCE

Purpose:

To prepare a plan to guide the form of development
and installation of services in Port Coquitlam's
industrial District.

This project is to provide data and analysis for two
Separate work programme activities. The first
activity is: to update the City's records of the
status of the industrial area. A side benefit of
this work is the production of information to update
the City Development Opportunities Brochure. The
second need is to prepare a guidance system for the
development of ‘the area. This includes policies on
what. kind on industry that is to be attracted, kinds
of utility services to be provided and timing of
thelr installation. The guidance system is to be
“ineluded as part of the Official Community Plan, in
the Industrial Development Policies: and
Tmplementation Section of the report. It will
provide a framework for making decisions about
individual development applications and service
