Lopé re ren City Shorts BETTY CAMPBELL and mayor Jack Talstra with keepsake sign for street named after her. City names Campbell St. A NEW STREET is being named after long-serving B.C, Heart and Stroke Foundation volunteer Betty Campbell. Mayor Jack Talstra said last week the decision to name Campbell St. — which will run north from Mountain Vista Drive on the bench — stems from Campbell’s years of service to the community. A nurse here for 32 years, Campbell has been the heart and stroke foundation’s regional co-ordinator for 18 years. This year will be her last as coordinator, “This way we will always remember you and every- thing you’ve done for this community,’’ Talstra told Campbell of the street naming. “T can’t tell you how thrilled ] am,”’ Campbell said, adding the foundation’s success here wouldn’t have come wilhoul tremendous effart by many others.
