Thornhillers Name Harper As President Thirty-five Thornhill ratepayers turned out Thursday evening to elect a new president and exe- cutive slate for the Thornhill Rural Ratepayers Association. Named to the top post was Bill Harper, long time resident of the Thornhill area. Lloyd Scott was elected to the vice presidency and Mrs. Roberta Muller was named secretary for the group. Treasurer is Mrs. Ray LaCarte and the re- quired three directors are L. W. Clay, Phi} Bourrelie and Bert Bel- lamy. Murray Stockman is the im- mediate past president of the as- sociation. : The meeting got off to a late start when members were called to help extinguish a blaze which wiped aut the home of .Mr. and Mrs. W.
