City Engineer SUBJECT: Required Parking Stalls for New Developments Panpose The purpose of this memorandum is to request that Planning Committee review the parking standards under the City Bylaws to see if new developments should be required to provide more on-site parking. The Public Works Committee at the November 26, 1991 Committee Meeting considered the attached memorandum from Collin Morris, Engineering Technician, dated November 19, 199] regarding a letter from Leigh Square Medical Centre dated November 8, 1991 requesting approval to use 12 additional parking stalls for staff. The Public Works Committee was surprised that new developments do not provide sufficient parking for customers and staff. Therefore, the Public Works Committee is forwarding this item to the Planning Committee as another example showing that increase-is needed in parking requirements in the City Bylaws.
