VILLAGE OF BELCARRA BOX 27 RR#] BELCARRA, B.C, V3H 3C8 939-443] 14 July, 1980 Mayor G.R. Laking City Nall 2272 McAllister Avenue Port Coquitlam, B.C. V3C 2A8 Dear Mayor Laking; The Village of Belearra ig approaching its First anniversary of incorporation and will soon be hiring our second full-time employee and we feel that an employee fringe benefit programme would be desireable, Insofar as a "group" of two (2) is not acceptable to most Carriers, we approached the G.V.R.D. Labour Relations Department earlier this year at which time they suggested that we enter into an agreement with one of our neighbouring municipalities to have our Staff included in a benefit programme, We have enquired at the Staff level as to the scasibility of such an arrangement and we are advised that with the exception of the Group Life Insurance Carrier, your municipality's carriers have no objection to such a proposal. We would therefore request Your concurrence with tha proposed arrangement in order that we might offer our Clerk~ Treasurer and Public Works Supervisor a reasonable benafit package. Your carly consideration of our request would be most appreciated. Yours very truly, pm ©. Bea Vv. Cc. Barrett Mayo.
